Ever wonder why cows graze the way they do? Or why your horse is constantly eating? Why would a goat choose to eat thistles over grass? Why do pigs dig holes in their pen all the time? What are chickens pecking at? This workshop will answer those questions and talk about why our different 4-H project species graze the way they do, and the differences in their digestive tracts that allow that to happen. We will use household items (and candy!) to visualize their grazing behavior and digestive tracts.
